Winter Break Camp

Winter Break Camp

Hot Ground Gym®’s winter camp is scheduled to coincide with local schools’ winter break closures. The camp can be registered in by the full or half day, with no minimum days required to enroll. All our camps are perfect for young and older kids, catering to ages 6-14.

The camp is an absolute blast! We will have your kiddos running obstacle courses, working with the group to complete teambuilding challenges, playing inspiring HGG games, and developing their hand-eye coordination with our fun “target practice” activities. No two days are the same! Enroll your kiddos to secure their slot in the camp, they will love it!

BENEFITS OF OUR WINTER CAMP

Improve Collaboration

Different ages of kids will learn to trust one another to achieve a collective “mission”, all while making new friends.

Staying Active

We will keep your kiddos moving and engaged during the holiday break, with a perfect blend of high and low-octane activities. Keeping them active will make transitioning back to “regular” after the break easier.

Boosts Confidence

We always tell the kids “You are strong, you are smart, you are brave, and you can be a leader, you just may not know it yet”. Our experiences boost self-confidence in kids whether they are younger or older. Everyone gets something out of the day spent in camp with us.

Promotes Leadership

Older kids are encouraged to step up and take an active leadership role guiding the younger ones to safety and success. We call these kids our “helpers”, and the older kids (12 and up) love this and we fully support them being “leaders”.

Enhances Creativity

Our first-of-its-kind learning program encourages alternate approaches to solving challenges, which expands logical and creative thinking “outside of the box”.

Our 5 Pillars of Confidence

Discipline

The first aspect we hone in kids is their discipline. We want them to be still when absorbing knowledge, ask questions when they are confused, and help others when they are “squared away”.

Obstacle Course Fitness

Teaching obstacle negotiation techniques to kids that are directly supported by physical exercise introduction, provides the kids a great opportunity to increase their fitness levels while having a blast in a safe and supportive environment.

Teamwork

“Teamwork makes the dream work”! We love making the kiddos work together to complete challenging “missions”, where they learn to cooperate and collaborate.

Problem-Solving

“Challenges need solutions”. To meet a problem head-on and overcome it is the goal of our programs. The kids will collaborate with the team, learn their job, and work to complete the mission. Learning resilience, dedication, and teamwork along the way.

Leadership

“To lead you must first follow”. This is very true here too. As the kids collaborate on “missions” we start to see their leadership skills shine through their personalities. We encourage them to help and lead each other.

Winter Camp FAQs

What gear does my camper need for winter camp?

If your child is attending a full day, they should have a backpack with a lunch, two snacks, and a refillable water bottle. They should have a snack and a water bottle if they attend a half-day session.

What happens during the winter break camp day?

Unlike at school, camp is the perfect opportunity for kids to exercise and play all day long, all while still learning and developing their interpersonal and communication skills. Campers will spend time on obstacle courses, playing games, and using their brains and their bodies to solve problems.

Is this a “Military Camp”?

No, of course not. We draw inspiration from the good parts of our military service, never the negative aspects. We focus on teaching positive values like teamwork, leadership, and resilience in a child-friendly way.
